I have always loved fantasy and being swept off into a story. When life just isn't good enough, make a new one! I am an avid reader and crafter in my spare time and enjoy tending to my garden all summer. I would describe myself as a creator.
I am a bibliophile, and love nothing more than to wind down at the end of the day with a cup of Sleepytime tea and a good book. I love to read fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, and historical fiction. Some of my all-time favorite books are of course The Lord of the Rings by J R R Tolkein, The Unicorns of Balinor by Mary Stanton, and the original Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Currently I am reading...
My mother taught me to sew when I was young and I took a few classes in public school, but I never got very serious until the pandemic gave me time to get serious. I love designs centered on historical sewing and fashion, mainly victorian era and medieval european and renaissance fashion. I try to recycle and use secondhand materials as much as possible. I enjoy taking the long way around with these crafts and often opt to do hand sewing and embroidery on certain parts. I do not take on any sewing commissions.
I've been exploring the possiblities of gardening the last few years. I did not grow up around gardens but was knee deep in a swamp and tracking mud through the forest growing up. I am originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved to Richmond, VA in 2021 so I have been learning about the local ecology and how to encourage native plants in my own yard. I love harvesting cherry tomatos, and watching all the different butterflies and bees on my flowers
